I sat down to do this week’s comic strip and my mind started to wander while my pencil sketched random stuff… and then I got an idea for a story based webcomic.
I love comic books and always wanted to make my own, I even wrote a script once, but instead I am making comic strips not comic books. Anyway, I started sketching this clown while thinking about a goofy action based comic and I came up with “Marketing Massacre.”
Wouln’t it be funny to read/see the turf war between the dudes who wear monkey suits and clown costumes that try to convince us to go to another “going out of business” sale. I honestly get tired of all the inflatable Apes towering over car dealers, animatronic clowns pimping mattress sales, and people in monkey costumes standing in busy intersections all trying to get me to buy something. I thought something simple would work better as a webcomic, and what is simpler than Clowns vs Monkeys… espescialy in today’s rough economy.
Here are some of the sketches I made:

This is the Clown who has lost his marketing job to the “Monkey Mafia”

This is Mattress Monkey the leader of the many inflatable apes and monkey suited miscreats taking over all of the marketing jobs.
Maybe one day I’ll really make this comic but for now check out this week’s comic strip here: http://www.spacebooger.com/index.php?comicID=113
I am still sick and today when I relived the teacher watching the suspended students I decided to sketch for those ten minutes instead of grading papers. Call me lazy if you want, but my illness is zapping all of my motivation and energy… Anyway, here is the end result:

Bet you would never believe that I read Neil Gaiman’s “Whatever Happened To The Caped Crusader?” before coming to work today, would you?
I don’t really have much to say about today’s webcomic… other than – PANTS.
There just something funny about saying the word “pants.”
Pants are always funny, now I just hope the comic is too.

Last week I filled in for a colleague and watched the students who were suspended from class so that she could go to a conference. This week I had to do it again twice and picked up a sharpie and did a little sketching.
This sketch was not as impulsive as last weeks, I had an idea of what I wanted to draw from the start with the intent of finishing and posting the image. I think knowing that I would post this took away some of the appeal, and today’s image is not as fun as last week’s. Anyway here are some DC super-heroes for today’s “Thumbnail Thursday” post.

Today I filled in for a colleague and watched the students who were suspended from class so that she could go to a conference. Those 40 minutes were brutal and I can see why it is a deterrent for students… it was real boring. I picked up a sharpie and did a little sketching of some Marvel super-heroes for today’s “Thumbnail Thursday” post.

Oh the places I can go with this new story arc… the Nintendo Entertainment System’s vast library is now fair game.
Come on, haven’t you ever imagined yourself in a video game? As a kid I would run around pretending to be Pitfall Harry in my back yard jumping over imaginary alligators and swinging on my swing set like it was a vine. Good times!
So, what games did your imagaine yourself in, or what games would be cool to be trapped in? (this means you should leave a comment)
Ahh, the most common misconception in science fiction – noise in space.
Many movies get this concept wrong, but here at SpaceBooger we only promote good science! (for this week at least…)
Be sure to visit list of Bad Movie Physics and Phil Plait’s Bad Astronomy website to read more about bad use of science in popular fiction.
Here it is the promised double sized comic strip! http://www.spacebooger.com/index.php?comicID=51
The Spammer’s storyline is close to coming to an end. Not only is the storyline ending soon, the life of the little captured Spammer may also come to an end if he does not tell the Booger what he wants to know.
Special Features:
In the second panel we see the Spammer finally give in to the electric shock torture. This panel is based on the scene in Rambo: First Blood Part II where the Soviet Military torture John Rambo after being captured by the Vietnamese.
The Spammer doing what it does best, using another’s identity, states that he is the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Originally the dialog from the third panel said “Shut Up! I’m not the DJ and you’re not the Rapper. Keep using stolen identities if you want…” I still don’t know why I picked Will Smith as the stolen identity… maybe it was because I just watched “I Am Legend” again recently.

Today’s webcomic continues the invasion of our character’s privacy by Spammers.
The motivation towards the handeling of the captured Spammer comes from this comic related video game:

The Spammer attack continues!
Two weeks ago the ship came under the attack of Spammers. Last week the origin of the Spammers was shown, and this week we see what the Spammers do to passing by space ships.
Even while under attack the Booger is still trying to make BarryFly misrable.
