Man if I was a jerk I would delete this comment… But I figure if he is cool enough with linking his site here, there must be a link from his site to our fight too…
It looks like what Bahlactus started a couple years ago and passed on to us has caught on elsewhere, including the voting for a winner.

It wasn’t even close this time — jkcarrier all the way. I even had that comic long, long ago. Looooved it.

I am also posting ShadowWing’s vote for the week as part of his current condition, although I know nothing of these characters. He had planned to vote for Meerkat meerly for using Spider-Boy, whom I must assume is a favored character of his, but had decided that Plastic Man’s reaction to Robin’s own headkick is more amusing, and thus leads JKCarrier to victory.
Personally, I still can’t understand this illogical campaign of physical vulgarity. There is no defeat here that couldn’t be performed with brains over brawn, and perhaps the teen’s error could have been avoided. But what should I expect from primitive flesh creatures?

Hey guys, didn’t mean to step on any toes. When we frst thought of a bracketed head to head design contest and decided to put it on Fridays, I thought Bahlactus’ FNF was defunct. When I actually went to post it and went to get his URL for a credit for the original name I saw you had taken up the mantle. I know I linked to Bahlactus and I think I did to you as well in the announcement last week.
The HM one is a lot different from what you all are doing and I think there’s plenty of room for both but I can find a different name if it bugs you, no harm meant.
The comment above was from my buddy who thought up the whole head to head design matchup, apologies for the inappropriate plug. Love what you guys are doing and glad the Bahlactus torch is being carried on!

Apparently my first attempt did not post, so I shall try again. I am posting ShadowWing’s vote for him due to his condition. His first thought was to vote for Meerkat, as Spider-Boy is a favored character, but found Plastic-Man’s reaction to his comrade’s accidental strike more amusing. So he votes for jkcarrier.
Let us see if this post goes through.

Jeff,
No toes were stepped on. And technically I believe ESPN probably has more right to the FNF name than either of us do. I don’t mind sharing – I just think some link swapping would be beneficial to all of our (yours and my) participants.
The more people we both get to vote and participate at both sites the better for all.

Holy Morphing Booties, Batman!!
jkcarrier gets my vote this week, even beating out the David Aja kick.
As for the other “FNF”, this reminds me of a Green Lantern short story I once read where Hal and another GL visited a planet where the planet’s protector had fashioned a crude power weapon and dubbed himself “Green Lantern”. Hal’s fellow GL was pissed at this, but Hal was cool with it. Then they all cooperated and saved the planet, and it turned out that the non-Oa GL was inspired to call himself “Green Lantern” by a visit to his planet from Abin Sur.

I’m going to vote for ShadowWing Tronix because I get a kick out of those PSA comics. Uh, pun not intended.

Stars & Garters gets my vote for another Cockrum Classic! Love that sound effect: “SLLLACKK!”
