on November 14th 2008
The rules will change slightly, but the effect of a shot to the dome remains the same.
- Every Tuesday the fight will be announced at 6PM (EST)
- Participants must enter the fight by Friday at 6PM (EST)
- Your entry needs to be the top post on your site by 8PM (EST) on Friday
- The the main event will be publsihed on Friday at 11PM (EST) at SpaceBooger.com
To enter each round:
- Email fnf [at] spacebooger.com no earlier than Tuesday at 6PM and no later than Friday 6PM (EST)
- Include the site where your entry will be at 8PM on Friday
- Issue name and number from where your entry first appeared
- A link back to the opening round (the url will included in the announcement post)
No Punch-Outs allowed.
Only those who can “walk the walk” may “talk the talk.”

What do you mean by “no punch outs”? Do you mean in the fight, or is this a reference towards the bloggers? I might sign up once my blog is running.

Punch-Out is the name of my favorite Nintendo game and a slang term used in boxing for those who talk harder than they punch:
“A Punch-Out is a slang term in professional boxing referring to a boxer who boasts and taunts his opponent but can not hold his own in the ring in actual boxing competition. Informally defined, it could be best described as being able to “talk the talk” but not back it up in the ring.” wikipedia

Oh, I know the meaning, and you must be at least interested in the remake they’re designing for the Wii Virutal Console. (I’m more of a Virtua Fighter person, but they don’t make that on PC.) I was just wondering how the term works in relation to FnF. I’m no trash talker, but I tend to ramble.

I am looking forward to the remake.
I guess I used the term Punch-Out since those who are participating are supposed to email me before the fight really begins on Friday… meaning that people can say that they will participate early in the week and not come through on fight night.
