Webcomic: HDTV and Dish

In this week’s webcomic we see the Booger taking a break from his new superhero career to play with his new high-tech toy.

Like the Booger, I recently installed a state of the art HD home theater system. Also like the Booger, most of the shows I watch are not broadcast in HD. I already have a contract with Dish Network, so I naturally upgraded my equipment to HD. Channels that are broadcast in high definition look phenomenal, but Dish Network does not broadcast my local channels in HD.

This means no ABC, NBC, CBS, or Fox… This also means, no Heroes (which I spelled wrong in the comic) and Cleveland Browns games. Needless to say I am frustrated with Dish Network.

Can Gorilla's Swim?

Is it me or did the writers of Super Friends cartoon and comic either:

          A. Hate Aquaman,
          B. Have no creativity when it came to writing about a sea king,
          or
          C. Are jealous and wish that they could talk to fish.
