I wonder how many children were heartbroken in 1977 when they received their Special Investigator Kit and only then realized it was fake.

They make it sound so real!

I remember in 4th grade my friend Timm and I used his mother’s typewriter and typed out our own private investigator license, or maybe it was a ninja liscense… yeah it was a ninja license. We typed it to look just like her drivers license then we glued a picture on it. Lastly we laminated it by wrapping it in scotch tape. I thought since I had a license I was an accredited ninja. I can only imagine how many children thought they were real Private Investigators with this $3.96 kit.
