Last week the Booger was hiding in a dark room and proclaimed himself a “ninja.” This week BarryFly proves that the Booger is not a ninja no matter what he thinks.
This strip is based on my second favorite joke. Well it may not be technically a joke, but I still love it.
Every year during the spring my middle school students get a little more talkative so I have to pull out the “Make a ninja sound!”
The first time I ask the class this question they all yell out some kind of “HiYah!” and like BarryFly, I tell them that they fail as ninjas. They seem to find it humorous and I continue to use the “Make a ninja sound!” to get the class quiet and move on with the lesson for the rest of the year.
It may be corny but it keeps me from having to tell them to “Get quiet for the lesson” every day.
